An atmospheric exploration of a demonic evocation conducted by a contemporary occultist.The Ritual was made as an exploration of the Occult Horror genre, setting out to bring the British influences of Hammer Horror and Clive Barker's Hellraiser up to date. This short addresses the issues within Western horror's preoccupation with stock aesthetics and religious reference points with an insight into contemporary occultism.
