Yes how time flies. It seems just like yesterday that Howard was born (August 20, 1890). Lovecraft's predominate idea that life is incomprehensible to human minds and that the universe is fundamentally alien still resonates with readers today. Perhaps even more so considering the geo-political pressures and fragility of life here on Earth.
So everyone take a moment, raise a glass, and toast Lovecraft, a friend from out of time and space.

Lovecraft: Fear Of The Unknown wins the 2008 Best Documentary Film at ComicCon! Director Frank Woodward is best pleased. Again thanks goes out to all who attended. If you weren't there at ComicCon you will have another chance here in Portland Oregon to watch it with all your fellow lurkers.

We are down in San Diego for the annual ComicCon. If you are down here as well don't miss Lovecraft: The Fear of the Unknown documentary this Thursday at 8:00pm.
Special guests this year are author Brian Lumley (one of the Old Ones), artist Mike Mignola (Hellboy Creator!), actor Robert Lloyd Perry, and the eldritch sounds of The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets.
We are also very pleased to have authors Michael Shea, S.T. Joshi, Robert M. Price, Stanley Sergeant, Scott Connors, and Willum Pugmire joing us for panels and readings.
