Aurelio Voltaire is often described as a modern day renaissance man of the macabre. He is a musician, author, filmmaker and designer of creepy toys. His music can best be described as a collection of murder ballads, tongue-in-cheek exercises in the macabre, with just enough bawdy songs about Star Trek and Star Wars to keep a convention audience rolling in the aisles. Many know him for his songs "Brains!" and "Land of the Dead" from the Cartoon Network show "The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy".Voltaire's filmmaking career starting in the 80s making some of the classic station IDs for MTV and the SyFy channel. His most recent series of dark, stop-motion films feature the voice talents of Danny Elfman, Gerard Way, Gary Numan, Richard Butler and Deborah Harry. Voltaire screens his latest film, a cosmic horror short called Odokuro on Saturday night. www.voltaire.net
