Pickman's Apprentice

Pickman's Apprentice

Pickman's Apprentice, introduced at the 2012 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, has become a popular event with both the audience and the artists! During the competition, artists have 90 minutes to create an original piece from start to finish. The content of the piece is based on a monster and location chosen at random. Past combinations include "Shoggoth Circus," "King In Yellow in a Sushi Bar," and "Nyarlathotep at a Water Park." Just imagine the possibilities! Since we have more time and space at CthulhuCon PDX, we are planning multiple bouts.

If you are an artist capable of completing a quickdraw challenge, and are interested in participating for glory and fame in our Pickman's Apprentice competition, please submit a Participant Application before March 1st and we will be in touch shortly.
