Return of the Lurkers: Bryan Moore's Cool Air & The Shadow Over Innsmouth preview
Join director Bryan Moore for a special presentation of his classic Lovecraftian milestone, Cool Air (1999), followed by the world premiere of his new trailer for the upcoming "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" plus behind the scenes material and Q&A.
A longtime figure on the Lovecraft scene, Bryan Moore has made an indelible mark with his films and sculptures based on the work on the Old Gent, most notably as the sculptor of the bronze bust of Lovecraft which now permanently resides in the Providence Athenaeum Library, now a pilgrimage for Lovecraft fans, and as the director of the seminal Lovecraft film "Cool Air" (soon to be released in a remastered edition!). He also created the annual Howie Award given to those who excel in promoting Lovecraft's work in the arts at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival.
Cool Air
Randolph Carter moves into a squalid boarding house in the summer of 1925 where he becomes friends with a mysterious doctor who revives him after a near-fatal heart attack. Soon after, Carter discovers the awful truth about the doctor and the fragile line that separates life and death. Featuring a stellar performance by Jack Donner as Dr. Muñoz, Cool Air remains a haunting reminder of the power of the human will.
