North Carolina filmmaker Joe Pellegrino found a natural draw to film after a lifetime of related creative pursuits such as music, photography and writing led to an enthusiasm for marrying them into one medium. Pellegrino cut his teeth in the Asheville, NC indie film scene; and creates with an offbeat, existential voice informed by neurodivergence in the bleak, rural Southeast U.S. environment he grew up in.
