The H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival® of Cosmic Horror Streaming Edition goes Live this Friday, October 18th, with 50 Independent Cosmic Horror Films!
The 30th Annual H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival is now taking place September 19-21st on all three screens of the Hollywood Theatre.
Originally scheduled two weeks later, the Hollywood Theatre encountered a booking issue with an upcoming program that is critical to their work and fundraising for the Hollywood historic film district project. The Hollywood Theatre needs to commit to a full run of the program with multiple day/night showings for several weeks without interruption, which interferes with our festival.

PROVIDENCE, RI - Featuring Dennis Paoli, screenwriter and frequent collaborator of director Stuart Gordon, this special one-night only 40th Anniversary screening of H. P. Lovecraft’s Re-Animator kicks off the 3-day H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival® at RISD Auditorium, August 22-24th.

Our 2026 Fundraising campaign is now LIVE! Join the campaign to support the 31st Annual H. P. This year we've moved off of the Kickstarter platform and built our own system at Arkham Bazaar, to reduce some of the usual bottlenecks, as well as fees, so that all of your support dollars flow directly to the festival.

About the Festival
The H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® & CthulhuCon™ promotes the works of H.P. Lovecraft, literary horror, and weird tales through cinematic adaptations by professional and amateur filmmakers, panel discussions, author readings, gaming, art, and sometimes live music. The festival was founded in Portland, OR in 1995 by Andrew Migliore, with the desire that H.P. Lovecraft would be rightly recognized as a master of gothic horror and his work more faithfully adapted to film and television.
