Cody Goodfellow will preside over a morning ritual involving the scalding juice of blackened berries, roasted beasts, and the unborn offspring of flying creatures (as well as a few vegetarian selections). This year, we will be hosting this abominable feast on Sunday morning October 8th from 10 am-12 pm at Sam's Hollywood Billiards. They have reserved their upstairs room for us, and will be hosting and catering the event. Adult beverages available for additional purchase (onsite).

The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society presents a special live performance of "The Thing on the Doorstep"! This will be the first time they have performed this live for an audience!

Daniel Upton stands charged with the brutal murder of his best friend, Edward Derby. Was the crime an act of greed, jealousy, or madness? Or did Edward's wife, the mysterious Asenath Waite, put to use her rumored occult powers? Was it a crime carried out by a ruthless fiend, or was the killer the next victim of a supreme evil that lurks unseen among us? Find out on Saturday, October 8th at 3 pm!

Special Screening of Black Sunday

BARBARA STEELE will introduce and take part in a Q&A for this special screening of Black Sunday (Saturday ONLY). Due to very limited room, the auditorium will open to allow seating first to 2017 HPLFF VIP and Deluxe Kickstarter backers and other 3-day pass holders, while seats are available, before being opened to all festival attendees. Please arrive early. Barbara will also be signing in the lobby after the screening.

Dr. West’s Laboratory with Ross E. Lockhart

This is a workshop on writing scenes, and how individual scenes can be stitched together to form a story! Ross Lockhart will take up to 12 participants for this extremely insightful and skill-building workshop!

Like Dr. Herbert West’s or Victor Frankenstein’s ghastly resurrections, stories are made up of individual parts, called scenes.
