  • Brand new restored print of "Berkeley Square" to play at San Pedro HPLFF

    The 2011 H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® in San Pedro will be the first to screen a newly restored 35mm print of "Berkeley Square" from 1933. Print courtesy of the Academy Film Archive.

    Lovecraft liked the movie, and it inspired him to write "The Shadow Out of Time". The grandchildren of director Frank Lloyd will introduce and share their memorabilia of the picture, which was Lloyd's favorite. He also directed "Mutiny on the Bounty" with Clark Gable (Best Picture).

    Dear Aaron,

    I am sorry to report that Roger will not be able to attend the Lovecraft Film Festival. Complications have assailed his latest project, and as a result, he will be out of the state filming for the month of September. He acknowledges the time you have spent helping arrange this event and regrets that he must now decline the invitation.

    The winner wil be announced at the festival on Saturday night.
