Nicolas Simonin ("DERAILED") is a native of France currently living in San Diego since 2010. He began his professional screenwriting career in Europe where he worked on TV shows like (R.I.S.—French C.S.I. or Lea Parker— an "Alias" spy show) for five major networks in France. In addition, he worked in the feature movie industry (EUROPACORP) as a screenwriter, professional reader and story analyst. He spent five years as a TV screenwriter and 18 months as a story coverage reader for Europacorp.
Norman Tumolva is a writer/director from Seattle, WA. He is a fan of science fiction/fantasy and hopes one day to direct feature films of those genres (though he is open to other genres as well). As a child he spent a lot of time following his big brother around with a camera and filming numerous family functions. Norman fell in love with the dramatic arts during those early years and even filmed himself acting out scenes from various movies. Norman has spent the past 4 years in various roles on film sets hoping to learn even more about how to create a good film.
Peter Allas was born in Chicago and raised in NYC where he acquired his love for acting. After studying at Boston U. & Fordham at Lincoln Center he burst on to the NY theatre scene as “Cliff” in “The Woolgatherer” by William Mastrosimone. Recently he received a 2010 Helen Hayes Nomination (DC Tony 's) for his performance as “Teach” in “American Buffalo” by David Mamet.His TV & film career began back in the Windy City with the recurring role of “News editor Alan Weissman”:on Michael Mann's “Crime Story”and has since performed in over 100 films and Television shows.
Raised in rural Louisiana, Philip Simon headed to the Pacific Northwest after college and has been with Dark Horse Comics since early 2000, editing horror and sci-fi manga titles such as Blood+, Eden, MPD-Psycho, Octopus Girl, and Who Fighter. Philip helped launch Dark Horse's manhwa line and is currently co-editing Dark Horse's Mangettes program, featuring CLAMP.
A lifelong Lovecraft fan, Rick can be found lurking about any number of eldritch Seattle haunts, committing unspeakable acts of depravity. A few of these blasphemous creations even see the light of day, such as the shorts and feature films he has been a part of that have shown at the HPLFF since 2003. His most recent cinematic outing is this year’s “The Shunned House,” a creepy little tale based on the Old Gent’s story, which he produced and scored.
Robert Lloyd Parry is an actor and writer who specializes in literary storytelling: theatrical performances based upon texts from the golden age of the short story in English, approx 1880 - 1930. Since 2005 he has been touring the UK with the The M R James Project, a series of solo performances which bring to life the masterpieces of the father of the English Ghost Story.
Robert P. Olsson has produced, written and directed his third Lovecraftian short called Fyren (Keeper of the Light) screening at this years HPLFF. His earlier efforts inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's work’s, 13:de mars 1941 (March the 13th, 1941) and Kammaren (A Legend Told), screened at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in 2005 and 2007.He's currently co-writing Terror on the Tracks, a Lovecraftian play set on the Trans-Siberian Railway in the beginning of 1930.
Rose Sirna ("Iris") is thrilled to be making her feature film debut in It's In The Blood. A global gypsy and lifelong theater enthusiast, she began taking acting classes in Madrid, Spain and has since studied and performed on three continents, including a play on the Great Wall of China. She was born in Rome, Italy, speaks four languages, and has extensive training in classical and musical theatre vocal performance. Rose is excited to dive into the world of film and television, and has recently made the City of Angels her new home.
Russ Lukich is a Creature and Makeup FX Artist based in California. He has been a lifelong fan of all things horrible and fantastic. With his sculpture work, paint design and as a puppeteer, his work can be seen in film franchises including Hellboy, Underworld, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Men In Black, and most recently Pacific Rim. In what spare time is left after his film and television schedule , Russ creates full size character displays in silicone for private collectors, and limited run pices to the public.
