The Captured Bird

Film

The Captured Bird is a darkly poetic fable that begins with a little girl drawing figures of people with chalk on the cement of a playground. She takes notice of an unusual crack in the pavement that is seeping a mysterious black fluid, which she follows to an ominous mansion. Inside, she encounters several bizarre phenomena, including walls that bleed black and tentacles that emerge from the ceiling to touch her. She then witnesses the birth of five terrifying supernatural beings that threaten the existence of her world.

The Celebrant

An audio engineer and a voice actor meet in a studio one night to record the final piece for the Collected Works audio book box set of the cult horror author Mordecai Saccades. It is a strange poem called 'The Celebrant' which has never been read aloud before, having just been discovered by the Saccades estate.All goes well until the poem is actually recorded in its entirety, at which point strange things begin to happen. There are weird sounds on the recording, which become even weirder when the engineer isolates them.

Chompers 3D (teaser preview)

Chompers is a shape-changing monster which disguises itself as something round, waiting for its prey to slip an appendage into its mouth. In the wild, it took the shape of hollowed out logs and stumps. In suburbia, its found trashcans, cookie jars, coffee cups, and so much more. It gets bigger and better at camouflage as it eats. The teaser is a proof-of-concept for a feature-length 3D puppet horror film that Blanchard is seeking funding for.

Coda Nera

Colour from the Dark

Pietro and Lucia live on an isolated farm in Italy with Alice, Lucia's younger sister during the height of WWII. One day, while drawing water from the well, Pietro and Alice free something from Earth's womb. A strange and alien colour flashes underwater, at the well's bottom, then disappears. From that moment on, inexplicable events start happening all around the farm, and by night the surrounding vegetation glitters with a sinister glow.

Film

Shot and produced in 48 hours, Contained is the story of Hope, a young woman living in an inner-city apartment building who picks up the slack of her ailing superintendent father. Longing for a better life far away from the confines of the old apartment building, and from the strange, idiosyncratic tenants who live there, she befriends an old man who entrusts to her the delivery of a strange, mysterious box. Unsure of the box's contents, Hope needs only remember one thing: the box must not be opened.

Cthulhu's Witnesses

This short mockumentary follows Evan, Sarah and Paul, three Cthulhu Witnesses as they try to spread the word about the Elder God. The film will be a parody of H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos as well as door-to-door religious evangelists. Throughout the film Evan, Sarah and Paul try to explain how, despite conjuring dark spirits and performing ritual sacrifices, they are really just normal people like you and me.

The Curse of Yig

An adaptation of the legendary writer H.P. Lovecraft's story by the same name which follows a young academic searching for the legend of the infamous snake god, Yig, but who finds a story more disturbing than anything she ever could have imagined.

Darkness There

Darkness There is a visual poem that explores Edgar Allan Poe's dark romanticism through the blending of his life and stories with authentic historical artifacts. Shot on location at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, Virginia, the film focuses on the atmosphere and mythology that surrounds Poe.
