Monstark is an award-winning filmmaker and monster artist living in Portland, Oregon as a human cat dad. His Lovecraftian puppet film adaptations include "Night-Gaunts" (2023) and "The Outsider "(2024), the latter Co-Produced with Portland artist Schneider under the name Pagan Circus. Born in New Orleans and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dave Correia has been drawing his entire life. Fascinated by comic books, horror films, and video games as a child, the subjects of Dave’s earliest artistic endeavors were often strange, demonic creatures. Disturbing, yet grotesquely appealing, these characters and their fictional worlds fueled his imagination and had a strong, significant influence on Dave’s creative style today. Congratulations to all the 2019 H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival Award Winners! With over 45 short and feature films, we had more films than ever eligible for awards. Choosing the winning films was extremely difficult, and all the filmmakers whose films were accepted this year should be extremely proud.

The 25th Annual H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival® takes place October 1-4, 2020 in Portland, Oregon at the historic Hollywood Theatre. Even though we can't be together in person, we're working hard to make this a year to remember! Celebrate 25 years of Cosmic Horror with us, with one of the largest Lovecraftian events in the cosmos. Lovecraft Film Festival® at SIFF Cinema Egyptian for a special one-night-only screening of Richard Stanley's monumental Color Out of Space, starring Nicolas Cage, Joely Richardson, and Madeleine Arthur, presented by SIFF and The Reef. Submissions are open for the 2020 H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival through FilmFreeway. Save on festival submission fees by submitting early! The earlier you submit, the greater chance you will have of being selected for any satellite events we host, including potential HPLFF screenings at our 3rd Biennial HPLFF in Providence, RI, August 21-23, 2020 (Lovecraft's Birthday weekend!)
