BJ Verot in an award-winning Writer/Director based in Winnipeg, Canada. He has recently completed his first feature film, a sci-fi/horror entitled Homecoming (starring Richard Harmon). His most recent short film, Echoes in the Ice, has screened around the world, but most notably as part of the Telefilm: Not Short on Talent at Cannes Program at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and Hollyshorts Film Festival. His National Screen Institute - Drama Prize film, Chopin's Heart also screened at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival with the Telefilm: NSOT Program, and he is the winner of the nationally televised CBC Short Film Face Off (2015) for his film Loss of Contact. When he is not producing his own projects, he is an award winning stunt performer in the film and television industry, having recently won Outstanding Stunt Performance for his work on the television show, The Pinkertons.
