An unusually large catch of gigantic pacific tuna was hauled in by the fishing vessels of San Pedro on August 30th, 2012. In the net of one of these bountiful catches was a strange sculpture which is the same one that was believed lost in a freak tropical storm that struck San Pedro in September of 1939...

Macabre Fantasy Radio Theater is an audio drama in the style of "Old Time Radio" featuring original adaptations of classic weird tales/horror stories. For the 2012 HPLFF-LA they will be performing an adaptation of Lovecraft's, The Statement of Randolph Carter, as though it had been produced for radio in the 1930's (yes, live sound effects!). Join us in reliving the glory days of radio as Macabre Fantasy brings to life this classic pulp adventure!

Start your weekend of spooky movies with an informal pre-party at The Lovecraft, Portland's own horror-themed bar and nightclub, located at 421 SE Grand.

Come out, meet us and a whole horde of zomb... er, "like-minded" people over drinks, horror-themed music, and a reel of classic short film faves and trailers.

Party starts at 11pm and there is NO COVER

Come on up and strut your decayed stuff on our stage. Dress as your favorite undead character, or something completely original, but remember... this is a horror film festival, not an anime convention!

Guest judges include Portland's own Living Dead Girls and Eraserhead/Deadite Press.

With over $200 in prizes donated by The Lovecraft Bar, Sigh Co. Graphics, Artist Liv Rainey-Smith, and The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, you won't want to miss this opportunity to get bloody for us.
