    The H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival® returns to Lovecraft's hometown of Providence, Rhode Island for three days of cosmic, uncanny, and Weird short and feature films , guests, and great discussion. Save the date! More details coming very soon.

    Dates for the 30th Anniversary H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival IN 2025 have been moved to September 19-21st!  This is an in-person event taking place at the Hollywood Theatre, and some panels and literary events planned at the Sonder Bar (just a block from the theater).

    Panels should relate to topics of Cosmic Horror, Weird Tales, Lovecraft & his contemporaries, in any media. Panels with targeted focus and a fun or interesting hook tend to be better attended than ones with broad or general topic.

    Last held at the Providence Public Library, the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival® will take place August 17-19th 2018, at its new digs, smack dab in Lovecraft country, up on College Hill at the beautiful RISD Metcalf Auditorium. With fantastic projection, excellent sound, and a lovely dark auditorium, the Metcalf ups our film festival game, ensuring that you'll be immersed in the cosmic horror of our independent film selection.

    The 30th Anniversary H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival are Sept 19-21st! This will be an in-person event with a plan to hold literary events at the Sonder Listening Bar (just one block from the theater). Reading slots are intended for authors writing in the Weird fiction, Cosmic Horror, or other genre that fits well with the mission of the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival. Priority is given to authors with new works.

    Matthew M. Bartlett is the author of several short story collections including Gateways to Abomination, its sequel Creeping Waves, and Where Night Cowers. His new short novel is entitled The Obsecration. He has recorded several spoken word records and has stories published in a variety of anthologies and journals. In late 2020 he joined the Great Resignation, immediately launching his current ongoing project, now in its third year: a subscription service for monthly illustrated chapbooks, entitled the WXXT Program Guide.

    Victoria Dalpe is an artist and writer based out of Providence, RI where she lives with her husband, filmmaker and writer Philip Gelatt, and their son. Her dark short fiction has appeared in over twenty-five anthologies and her first novel, Parasite Life came out in 2018 through ChiZIne Publications and will be re-released in 2022 through Nightscape Press. Her short story collection, Les Femmes Grotesques, will be out with Clash Books in 2022. She is a member of the HWA and the New England Horror Writers.
