Are you attending next weekend’s H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival & CthulhuCon in Portland, OR? Now’s your chance to sign up for a one-on-one pitch session with Word Horde’s editor in chief, Ross E. Lockhart. On Saturday, October 7 between 4:15-5:15 pm, Ross will be listening to pitches and looking for the next break-out hit book.

  • Meet & Greet with Filmmakers and Guests

    Come meet our visiting filmmakers, whose work you'll be seeing throughout the weekend! Have a drink with our author, artist, and special guests! Everyone is welcome, but Sam's is 21+ (no cover).

    If you purchased a 3-day festival pass through the Box Office or our Kickstarter campaign, you can pick up your wristband or badge at the Meet & Greet as well.

    Barbara Steele, born in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England, originally studied to be a painter, but ultimately became one of the most iconic and beloved horror actresses of all time. Her first film role was in the British comedy, Bachelor of Hearts. Her breakout role was in Black Sunday, which was Mario Bava’s directorial debut.
