  • Lovecraft Under The Gun — 72 Hour Film Project
    Schedule block

    Teams compete to make a short Lovecraftian film in just 72 hours! Each film must be at least 2 minutes, but not more than 10 minutes, and use a prop and line of dialogue that they were assigned at registration. Watch the results on Sunday afternoon, and see just what these insane minds were capable of.

    Join the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society for a look back at their evolution as producers of Lovecraftian entertainment. Then take a look behind the scenes at their latest motion picture, The Whisperer in Darkness. Society founders Sean Branney and Andrew Leman will be on hand to field your questions about projects past, present and future.

    Reservations must be made directly with the Whale & Ale or on their Facebook page.

    The are offering us a special discounted meal (salad, choice of entree, dessert) for fest-goers at $21 per person, tax included or, for $17, choose any two entrees off the menu. Make your reservations directly with the Whale & Ale for Sept. 28, between 5 and 7pm.

In the net of one of these bountiful catches was a strange sculpture which is the same one that was believed lost in a freak tropical storm that struck San Pedro in September of 1939...
