CthulhuCon PDX 2015 was amazing! The weekend was spent playing games, enjoying Lovecraftian art, film, and music, and, of course, learning stuff through our course of amazing panel discussions on topics ranging from "Lovecraft Gets Hammered" to "The Lost Worlds of H.P. Lovecraft" to "Dracula VS Cthulhu!" We've posted the first of these, "Neo-paganism and Lovecraft" in our YouTube channel today, with more to be posted in the coming days and weeks. Check out the panel playlist below - it's the perfect way to upgrade your Lovecraftian scholarship with our amazing panelists, including Kenneth Hite, Leslie Klinger, S. T. Joshi, Wilum Pugmire, Kevin McTurk, Leeman Kessler, Robin Laws, Adam Scott Glancy, and many more.
Two of the smartest guys in the room, Kenneth Hite, author of Tour de Lovecraft, the Trail of Cthulhu RPG, and The Dracula Dossier, and Leslie S. Klinger, editor of the New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft, The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes, and The New Annotated Dracula, join the roster of scholars at the inaugural CthulhuCon PDX. Mr. Hite and Mr. Klinger will be taking part in panel discussions and other activities that will thrill you with their insights into the worlds of H.P. Lovecraft.
We are pleased to announce that H.P. Lovecraft* himself will be a featured guest at CthulhuCon in April! You'll have the chance to pick his brain during a LIVE edition of Ask Lovecraft (www.asklovecraft.com), and may even have the chance to play a game or two with the man who started it all!
* Mr. Lovecraft will be appearing as his intrepid character, Leeman Kessler, whom he describes as a Nigerian-born actor living in Canada with his wife Rachel and daughter Amanda. Mr. Kessler has been performing as H.P. Lovecraft, since 2010, on stage and online with his web-series Ask Lovecraft. This will be his first time in Portland. You can hear him and his wife on their podcast, "Geekually Yoked."
