  • Jeffrey Combs

    Jeffrey Combs's best known horror role was as Herbert West, the main character in the movie Re-Animator, which he has reprised in the film's two sequels. He also portrayed the part of author H. P. Lovecraft (creator of the Herbert West character) in 1993's film Necronomicon: Book of the Dead. Combs has starred in eight H.P. Lovecraft adaptations. Other film credits include FeardotCom, House on Haunted Hill, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Frighteners.

    The Festival is one of a 3 part anthology titled, "The Dunwich Horror and Others." These three classic tales were brought to life through puppets and miniatures.

    Synopsis:
    It is the night of the Winter Solstice, and the inhabitants of an ancient seaport town prepare to celebrate a once-in-a-century festival. What role will the newcomer be asked to play?

    Based on Lovecraft's Ex Oblivione, with a dash of Beyond The Wall of Sleep and The Silver Key, with a bit of genetics from Alien and Dark Star, this 1991 student film (Columbia, thank you very much) is from the director of Pickman's Muse. A young man travels through the stars, and beyond the wall of sleep.

  • Static Aeons

    Film

    Adaptations of HP Lovecraft’s work have always been problematic. The qualities that make his writing affective and powerful stem from his word choice and phrasing. Rather than attempt to fully adapt a single story this project uses three Lovecraft short stories and combines chosen elements to create an original story line. This takes the form of an exploratory journey through a city left to decay in humanity’s absence, however, a lone haunted man remains, watching the city crumble from his office window.
