    Lovecraft1934.jpgYes how time flies. It seems just like yesterday that Howard was born (August 20, 1890). Lovecraft's predominate idea that life is incomprehensible to human minds and that the universe is fundamentally alien still resonates with readers today. Perhaps even more so considering the geo-political pressures and fragility of life here on Earth.

    So everyone take a moment, raise a glass, and toast Lovecraft, a friend from out of time and space.

That’s the truth: it was no easy matter. There were so many fine submissions, the decision came close to being a coin toss. Close, but not quite.
