Panel: Cosmic Horror Before Lovecraft
Before Lovecraft gave cosmic horror its most famous name, writers were already imagining humanity as small, fragile, and helpless before vast and incomprehensible forces. This panel explores the Gothic, scientific romance, supernatural fiction, and early weird tales that helped create the tradition Lovecraft inherited. We will look at the authors, ideas, and anxieties that made cosmic horror possible before the Cthulhu Mythos. With DB Spitzer (M), David Heath, Aunt Gore, Theoddra Monstar
