The Emergence of Poetry on the Weird Fiction Scene
Weird and Lovecraftian fiction has become a saturated medium, and poetry is offering new avenues to evoke spectral moods and an atmosphere of horror unavailable to conventional prose storytelling. Obadiah Baird, the editor of the highly regarded weird fiction journal _The Audient Void_ will discuss how interspersing poetry with short stories has enhanced the quality of his magazine, and how other publishers in the field are following suit. In addition, poets Ashley Dioses, K. A. Opperman, Adam Bolivar and D. L. Myers will expound upon their experiences breaking into the contemporary horror and fantasy poetry market, and give their prognostications of the future of the medium.
